Pick the sports, regions and level used to surface athletes, posts and opportunities tailored to you. Sports drive your For You feed and recommendations; regions prioritise athletes and posts from those places. Regions and level are not asked at sign-up — this is where you add them. The Countries card suggests your device's country first; Level is a list of plain rows (Beginner through International) with a one-line description each, and is optional.
Good to know
You can pick up to 5 sports and up to 5 countries.
The sports you chose at sign-up are already here; your first pick at sign-up also became your main sport on your profile (change it in Profile → Edit).
Where to find it: Their profile → Follow, or their profile → Connect
Following is one-way: you see their posts in your feed and they do not have to agree. Connecting is mutual — you send a request, and once they accept you are connections. Connections can message each other and can see content set to 'Connections & Coaches'.
Good to know
You generally need to be connected before you can message someone.
Where to find it: Feed tab → "Suggested for you" cards (between posts, or as the empty-feed screen for new accounts) → See all
Cards suggesting people to follow, ranked by how many of your own follows and connections already follow or are connected to them — the card shows their avatars and a line like "Followed by Sam, Jo + 4 others". When you have few mutuals it falls back to people who joined through your invite, then your sport, then your city, then new or popular members, and the card says which. Swipe across the cards; tap Follow on a card to follow without leaving the feed; tap the card to open the profile; tap the ✕ to remove that person permanently. "See all" opens the full list. The cards also appear on a new account's empty feed. A weekly "People you may know" push (a short round-up of people with mutuals) can be switched off in Settings → Notifications.
Good to know
The ✕ is permanent for that person (it is stored on your account, so it holds across devices and reinstalls). There is no undo — you can still follow them from their profile or search.
Following someone from a card removes them from the suggestions; the follow itself works exactly like Follow on their profile (they get a "started following you" notification).
Under-18 accounts are only ever suggested to people who already share a mutual with them; they are never suggested cold by sport or location.
Cards need at least three people to show, so a very new network may see none until you follow a few people.
Search the athlete database by sport, position, level and region. It is a coach feature and requires your identity to be verified before it will return results.
Good to know
Coaches see the Scout tab with a small lock until verified — tapping it shows "Verification required" with a Get verified button. Athletes and teams never see the tab.
Scout has its own Filters and sort; the Discover-wide sliders icon does not affect it.
