Acceptable Use Policy
Rules governing your use of The Sporting Network platform.
Effective Date: 1 April 2026
7.1 Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules governing your use of The Sporting Network platform and applies to all users, including registered members and visitors. This Policy forms part of and should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions.
7.2 Prohibited Activities
(a) Unlawful Conduct
- Engage in any activity that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Facilitate, promote, or encourage any criminal activity
- Launder money or finance terrorism
(b) Harmful Content
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or invasive of another's privacy
- Distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors
- Promote violence, self-harm, or suicide
- Distribute content designed to incite hatred against any group
(c) Integrity Violations
- Impersonate any person, entity, or organisation
- Fabricate or materially misrepresent sporting statistics, achievements, or qualifications
- Create or operate fake accounts or bots
- Manipulate rankings, search results, or engagement metrics
(d) Technical Abuse
- Introduce viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs, or other malicious or harmful material
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers, databases, or any connected systems
- Conduct denial-of-service attacks or any activity that disrupts Platform availability
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data without prior written consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform
- Circumvent any security measures, access controls, or rate limits
(e) Commercial Misuse
- Use the Platform for unauthorised commercial purposes, advertising, or solicitation
- Sell, resell, or commercially exploit access to the Platform or any Platform features
- Collect or harvest user data for the purpose of sending unsolicited communications
7.3 Network and System Security
You must not compromise, or attempt to compromise, the security or integrity of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the Platform without authorisation, accessing data not intended for you, or logging into an account you are not authorised to access.
7.4 Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to us at main@thesportingnetwork.com.
7.5 Enforcement
Violations of this Policy may result in:
- Removal of offending content
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
- Reporting to law enforcement where appropriate
- Pursuit of legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement authorities in the prosecution of users who are involved in such violations.
